March 3 (Bloomberg) -- Greece expects its European Union partners to honor their pledge to help a fellow member of the bloc, Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou said today, after the government announced an additional austerity package demanded by the EU.
“We expect that our partners will honor their promise to help a member state after doing what is necessary,” he told reporters in Athens today. Papaconstantinou also said that Greece cannot continue to borrow at “such rates.”
